Happy Thursday! A week from today we will all be stuffing our faces with endless amounts of Thanksgiving goodness. I cannot wait!
So, I’ve long wanted to rock the collared shirt under a sweater look, but I always feel uncomfortable in it. Either the collared shirt is too tight and restricting or it’s too loose and bulky, but I finally figured it out!
Here’s the look.
I think the reason it worked this time, out of all of the times I’ve tried it, is because both the collared shirt and the sweater are light weight. Neither one is heavy or bulky. This chambray shirt is extremely comfortable. It’s really loose without being baggy and it’s a little bit stretchy, which is nice.
This is a sweater that my mom got me for Christmas last year. I really like it because the paneling on the sides gives a slimming effect.
Seeing as the colors overall were bland, I decided to add my electric blue loafers. I felt that they give the outfit just a little extra fun. Otherwise it looks too serious.
I also added a cute little bow necklace. This outfit felt kind of masculine to me, so adding the bow necklace gave it that feminine touch it needed. I also added a watch and some Alex & Ani bracelets to top it off.
The last little touch I added was partially tucking the sweater in. I pulled the sweater to the side a little and twisted the end and then tucked it in. I felt like it looked sloppy before tucking it in. And not sloppy in a good way.
Let me know what you think of this look!
