No hassle Valentine’s day

Happy hump day, everyone! I know I’m a couple of days late, but I figured I’d share with you what my Valentine’s day was like!

My husband and I decided to keep it simple this year. We really didn’t want to spend a bunch of money and I’ve been working so much that I didn’t really want to be busy all day. We just wanted to hang out and be together.

We started our morning off by meeting up with my sister Bree, and her husband, Rick, at this awesome place called Top Golf. Top Golf is technically a driving range, but it’s so much more than that! They have a restaurant, full bar, pool table, etc.

Tip: On the weekends, if you go to Top Golf before 12:00 p.m. it’s half off (for those of you who live close to one).

After Top Golf, Will had to go into work for a couple of hours, so he dropped me off at Nordstrom Rack! They were having their Clear the Rack sale, so all of their clearance items were an extra 25% off! I got some really great pieces, including some Smashbox make-up primer for only $2.80!

Then, Will picked me up and we hung out at home for a while. I painted my nails, Will watched sports, blah, blah, blah. We had movie theater gift cards, so we decided we would go to dinner and see a movie.

We headed to Smokey Bones, which had barely any wait time, and then we saw Kingsman, which was great!

Here’s my laid back Valentine’s day look.

I wore this adorable LC Lauren Conrad top from Kohls with a black, leather mini skirt from Urban Outfitters. It was a little chilly so I put my sheer black tights under it. And I wore favorite black booties, which I think will ordered from Amazon!

I also wore my new favorite bracelets from Beauty & Brains Bangles!

Don’t forget, when you order 3 or more bangles from Beauty & Brains Bangles, you’ll get 10% off when you mention All Things Recessionista!

I topped off this look with a headband braid, some bright pink lip stick, and my LC Lauren Conrad polka dot trench!

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine’s day as much as I did!

Enjoy πŸ™‚
