“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” – Philippians 2:3-4
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this verse on my story a couple of days ago. I’ve read and heard this verse so many times, but it struck me with more meaning this time. After I read it I thought about everything I do in just one day that is out of selfish ambition. One of my struggles is definitely being selfish. I sometimes think the world revolves around me (just ask my husband!), so this verse was and is very convicting! It’s time to think about others and be humble.
First off, this look is so comfy! I felt all cozy like I was wrapped up in a blanket! I wore this look for church and meeting up with the lovely creator of Simple & Pretty Jewelry. I have teamed up with Simple & Pretty for a trunk show on November 12th where you’ll be able to shop chokers like the one I’m wearing with this look! Simple & Pretty has such a good variety to keep you up to date on latest jewelry trend while staying on budget. Most handmade jewelry pieces have a big price tag, but Simple & Pretty keeps it realistic for the “every day girl”!
I layered my shearling vest over my “cold shoulder” dress (TJ Maxx $14.99). I love the contrast of this tan with the steel blue of the dress. Adding to the perfect color combo is my Simple & Pretty choker. It was the perfect accessory for this look. Simple enough, yet still adding something that pops. I finished off the look with gold boots socks & booties and tousled hair.
